With the fast development of economy and the progressive of society, the issue ofenvironmental pollution (indoor environment pollution) is drew attention by an increasingnumber of people, photo-catalytic semiconductor has good property of Photo catalysis, itcan degrade air pollutant effectively, such as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia and so on,so it promote the development of indoor air treatment. Nano-hydrated titanium dioxide isone of important environment-friendly semiconductor material and is receivedconsiderable attention, due to possessing surface effect, volume effect, quantum effect,macroscopic quantum tunneling effect and unique properties in the field of sound,electricity and light. Nano-hydrated TiO2is N type semiconductor with biological andchemical stability, non-toxicity, UV-resistant, color effect, photo-catalysis and long stablelife, and it could separate photo-generated electron-hole pairs effectively due to its surfacedefect to improve the photocatalytic property, has extensive prospect of application inmany field such as energy, environmental protection, solar cell, air purification andantiseptic. At present, there are several methods to prepare nano-hydrated TiO2such assol-gel method, hydrothermal method, sulfuric acid, method, high-energy ball milling,microemulsion method and so on, but there is few research report of nano-hydratedtitanium dioxide and its preparation. This thesis is focused on a novel hydrochloric acidroute to prepare desired crystal-structural nano-hydrated titanium and applied it to theenvironmental treatment and air purification. Furthermore, we studied the degradationexperiment of formaldehyde and degradation test of air pollutant of relative products.
