As the traditional energy such as coal, oil, natural gas is increasingly exhausted, and the environmental pollution caused by traditional energy is increasingly serious, it is even more urgent to look for a new type of renewable energy as a replacement. Hydrogen energy as an ideal energy carrier has drawn more and more attention. Hydrogen production via catalytic pyrolysis of biomass can not only reduce the tar produced in the process of experiment, but also can improve the quality of the product gas and the conversion efficiency of the system. Therefore, hydrogen production via catalytic pyrolysis of biomass is a hydrogen production technology which is feasible and has development potential. The hydrogen production via fast catalytic pyrolysis of biomass was researched. This paper not only investigated the effect of reaction temperature on the experimental results, but also examined the effect of catalyst on the experimental results. The results indicated that temperature is an important factor influencing the experimental results. Hydrogen content, hydrogen yield, potential hydrogen yield and carbon conversion rate increased along with the rise of reaction temperature. The results also indicated that NaCl, KOH, HZSM-5and attapulgite have catalytic effect on the pyrolysis experiment, while Na2CO3has no catalytic effect. Attapulgite has the best catalytic effect, whose largest hydrogen yield reaches to68.4g/kg biomass. Higher reaction temperature is beneficial to improve the catalytic effect of catalyst.Hydrogen was prepared via twice catalytic pyrolysis of biomass. The contrast of the change of gas composition between pyrolysis gas and twice pyrolysis gas was conducted. Influential parameters such as microwave power, reaction temperature and nickel content in the catalyst were researched. The results indicated that Pyrolysis gas through the twice catalytic pyrolysis can get higher hydrogen content and higher hydrogen yield. Microwave power has a great effect on the experimental results. Hydrogen yield increased along with the rise of microwave power. Within the scope of experiment, the suitable microwave power is700w. Reaction time is also a key factor affecting the experimental results. If reaction time is too short, the pyrolysis reaction will be incomplete, and if reaction time is too long, it will consume more energy. The suitable reaction time is17min. The nickel content in the nickel-based catalyst also has great influence on the the results of twice pyrolysis. Increasing the nickel content appropriately can improve hydrogen yield. In the experimental range, the suitable nickel content is9%.
