With the rapid development of economy, the energy demand for our country is increasing, and the mined coal resources of eastern area mining are dwindling, so the key areas of the coal mine construction and the main producing areas are gradually developing to the western region. The shaft sinking in western mines generally adopted freezing method, and in the structure design of frozen shaft linings, the parameters in the existing design specifications and design manuals are to the area of middle and eastern.In this paper, Hung Qing he coal freezing sinking in Inner Mongolia is the research background, combined the outer shaft linings stressing theoretical with indoor frost heave test analysis methods to analyze and obtained a result that the frost heave rate and frost heave force are small in western region of Cretaceous and Jurassic strata, then proposed the design and optimum program for outer shaft linings structure of freezing sinking in the western region of deep bedrock, that means the main control design condition of the outer shaft is the stability requirements of shaft linings. Through the model test, has obtained the structural stress, deformation and strength characteristics of the outer shaft linings, found out the mechanical mechanism, and the obtained minimum ultimate load of shaft wall, so it is greater than the generated frost heave force when frozen the rock, has demonstrated the feasibility of the shaft linings optimum design program. Finally, numerical analyzed the optimized borehole wall model, further studied the force characteristics of the outer shaft linings, has obtained the numerical simulation data and results chart, the analysis results again demonstrated the feasibility of optimization program for outer shaft linings.Combined the study results of this task with the past measured data and engineering data of the freeze construction in the western region, can provide a reasonable basis for the freeze parameter values and sidewall design parameters selection of western coal mines freezing sinking.
