Fluorine textile finishing agent with unique fluoroalkyl structure, reduce the fabric surface free energy, when water or oil droplets on the fabric, can’t immediately penetration into the fabric, and would be on the surface of beads freedom by rolling. Therefore fabric finishing by fluorine-containing textile finishing agent can show the water-and oil-repellent properties and resist pollution, general hydrocarbon or silicon resin finishing agent was less than that of, which is widely used in the fabric and leather finishing agent, etc. Medical personnel often contact with the blood or pathogens to body fluids on there work, if the performance of the protective clothing is not strong, to own and other people are a threat. So it is necessary to study with high permeability of medical protective clothing. At present, nonwovens in medical field used more and more widely, but its own security is not strong, therefore the water-and oil-repellent consolidation of medical nonwovens has important significance on protection of medical personnel security and promote the development of public health care. But domestic study reports of fluorine-containing finishing agent on nonwovens are less. Along with our country of textile finishing to increased demand, researching and developing of independent fluorine-containing finishing agent on nonwoven is urgently needed.Clear acrylic copolymer resins were successfully prepared with TA-N, MGA, N-MAM SA and others as the mainly monomer, through emulsion polymerization methods, analyzing with infrared spectroscopy and laser particle size of the polymer. The paper introduces the finishing process of SMMS and wood-pulp nonwoven fabric with fluorine-containing finishing agent via pad-dry-cure technology, and the influence of the agent concentration, curing temperature and time on the result was investigated. Tested by SEM, contact angle of water, resistance to alcohol and blood penetration, water pressure, breathable property and breaking strength on finishing nonwovens.Fluorine-containing finishing agent in this paper can show better ability of Water-and oil-repellent to fabric only when the content of the fluorinated monomer is lower. The experimental results show that the function of resistance to alcohol, blood penetration, breath property, breaking strength and water pressure is good. The nonwoven can meet the medical requirements.
