In this paper, the effect of the one-dimensional micron continuous fiber reinforced materials (continuous glass fiber CGF and continuous carbon fiber CCF) and the two-dimensional micron and nanometer reinforcing materials (montmorillonite OMMT and graphite nanoplatelets GNPs) with lamellar structures on the properties of cured epoxy resin were studied, then the OMMT/EP, CGF/EP, GNPs/EP and CCF/EP binary composite materials were prepared. CGF/OMMT/EP and CCF/GNPs/EP ternary composites were prepared to investigate the longitudinal and horizontal enhancement effect of OMMT and GNPs on the continuous fiber/resin composite materials.The effects of organic MMT and continuous glass fiber on the property of epoxy resin were characterized by viscometer, contact angle tester, FTIR, XRD, SEM, TG and electronic universal testing machine. OMMT and CGF made the thermal stability and mechanical strength of cured epoxy improve. The longitudinal and transverse mechanical properties of the CGF/OMMT/EP composites were increased, the longitudinal tensile strength and bending strength were increased by15.2%and33.9%than the CGF/EP composites, the transverse tensile strength and bending strength improved24.7%and29.2%respectively. SEM and XRD showed that OMMT was exfoliated in the epoxy matrix and perpendicular to the paralleled CGFs.The effects of graphite nanosheets and continuous carbon fiber on the property of epoxy resin were characterized by FTIR, SEM, TG, laser particle size analyzer, electronic universal testing machine and impact testing machine. SEM and laser particle size analysis showed that the GNPs were prepared by the ultrasonic dispersion of expanded graphite. The mechanical properties of GNPs/EP composites were highest with5wt%GNPs. The CCF treated with the high temperature oxidation and concentrated acid together with PN311titanate coupling agent were with best reinforcing effect on EP, the longitudinal tensile strength and bending strength of the CCF/GNPs/EP composites were272MPa and1672MPa, increased by29.5%and29.5%than the CCF/EP composite materials respectively. Transverse tensile strength and bending strength were up to56.6MPa and361MPa, increased by29.5%and29.4%, respectively. GNPs has little effect of heat weightlessness on EP, CCF could significantly reduce the heat weightlessness on EP.
