High Nitrogen Energetic Compounds have a wide range of applications in the field of energetic materials, this paper described the synthesis of two types of compounds, analyzed their performance, and discussed the excellent properties such as high energy density and low sensitivity.First, dinitroguanidine(DNQ) was prepared, which was fully characterized by MS, IR,13C-NMR and so on. The reaction conditions were also optimized. Gaussian software was used to simulate the structure of DNQ and its stable structure was analyzed. With the thermal analysis method, thermal decomposition of nitroguanidine and dinitroguanidine were investigated. It was found that the decomposition temperature of dinitroguanidine was167℃and its decomposition process was more rapid and thorough. Finally, friction sensitivity and impact sensitivity of DNQ was tested to be52%and84%respectively. Its potential advantages were exhibited when compared with some other explosives.Second, the1,1’-dihydroxy-5,5’-bistetrazole (TKX-50) was produced, using dichloro-glyoxime, sodium azide and dimethyl formamide (DMF) as primary materials, then it was reacted with the hydroxylamine hydrochloride to form the target compound TKX-50with a yield of73.2%. Its structure is then simulated by Gaussian software on B3LYP/6-31++G level. According to the simulation, it can be found that there are strong inter-and intra-molecular hydrogen bonds existing in the solid crystal. These hydrogen bonds effectively improve the density of TKX-50to1.92g·cm-3. Based on this density, several important parameters are calculated. Compared with traditional explosive materials such as HMX and CL-20, the TKX-50shows excellent performance in every test. Its detonation velocity reaches9698m·s-1and detonation pressure is42.4GPa, and moreover, it has a low level of the mechanical sensitivity.
