The underwater oil storage tank locates on the seabed or submerged. Because of fire and lightning isolation, the oil and gas has low loss and are not easily fire. Therefore, underwater oil storage has natural explosion-proof performance. And wells are not affected by sea conditions and it can product continuously, Underwater oil storage is suitable for the needs of the offshore oil field to distant waters, the deep-sea development and subsea production systems. In addition, compared with aquatic oil storage, underwater oil storage can save expensive platform construction costs and without storage restricted, it also has a huge storage capacity. There are several ways of Underwater oil storage, the oil-water replacement is cost-effective, but the consequent pollution problems and heat preservation problem of high solidifying point oil has seriously hampered the development of oil-water replacement technology.This paper relied on the national "863"program Scroll issue of "underwater oil pollution prevention and the key technology of insulation", which is undertaken by the first Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration. According to the project, which proposed a new type of flexible underwater oil storage technology, we had researched automated production process monitoring technology of Underwater oil storage. The production process of the underwater oil storage technology are all located below the surface of the water, and the special working environment has imposed great challenge to the storage and transportation of crude oil. But the human does not directly participate in the production, work parameter is obtained only through various modern sensing device mounted in a underwater storage device, and then through the high reliability of automated production process monitoring systems, achieving safe and pollution-free production of underwater oil storage. With the help of embedded microcontroller MCU, we designed the data acquisition layer to collect the parameters of underwater oil storage, such as temperature, liquid level, etc. Combined with underwater oil storage production characteristics, soft measurement technique which is based on neural network is introduced into the measurement system, neural network Soft measurement model is built to monitor of high solidifying point oil temperature and liquid level.on the measurement system in real-time. Through field bus, data acquisition layer sends the measure data to the central monitoring and control layer. Central monitoring layer utilizes high reliable touch industrial control computer as hardware platform. Using underwater oil storage monitoring software to process the collected data, display in real-time and other functions. Field control layer using Germany’s cost-effective WAGO series programmable field bus controller (PFC)750-881as the core component to design, receiving data from the central monitoring and control layer,According to fuzzy control rules which is based on the Mamdani, we can obtain the control strategy and control the move of actuator, and then achieve high solidifying point oil temperature, liquid level control function. Through the above three layers, consists of the underwater oil storage automated production process monitoring system. For underwater oil storage oil leakage safety monitor, we had made further research, the new safety monitoring technology of underwater crude oil pollution prevention have been targeted to propose, which is based on optical fiber sensing detection technology as the core. For monitoring and control system software, we use C language to develop embedded data acquisition layer’s drive, Field control layer program uses the IEC-level programming language in WAGO-I/O-PRO programming environment to develop. The central monitoring layer software uses virtual instrument software LabVIEW8.6to develop. After the design is completed, the entire system in the indoor and sea experiment obtain good experimental results, the system has the characteristics of high-precision, high stability, low power consumption, and friendly interface. Underwater oil storage automation production monitoring technology has great reference value to further promote the underwater oil storage technology industrialization of experimental research and technology accumulation.
