Jigger discharging process is a typical and complex system which is large delay, nonlinear, random disturbance and multi-parameter strong couple. The characteristics of raw coal, effect of jigger stratification state and driver's operation can affect the discharging system, and it's difficult to make up its math model.Intelligent predictive control has started to present as one of the new research domain of model predictive control. Its control strategy is predictive model, receding horizon optimization and feedback adjustment, so its control effect and robustness can beimproved. The development of fuzzy logic control theory made it possible to combine this theory with model predictive control. In this article, we apply fuzzy predictive control method into jigger discharging system.At first, we discusse the basic structure and identify method of the T-S fuzzy model. Based on it, we make up a T-S fuzzy model which has three inputs and one output and use fuzzy clustering method to identify its structure parameters, its premise variables are error and its change rate. Then this paper introduces the indirect generalized predictive control algorithm, and design a fuzzy predictive controller using improved control parameters.Through emulation in MATLAB and experiment in laboratory, we can draw a conclusion that predictive method based on T-S fuzzy model is a better strategy. It's workable and can bring certain utilitarian value to the coal mine.
