This article is based on the analysis of the optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensingtechnology and the theory, combined with FBG to simulation test used in coal mine roof of straindetection research. Coal mine roof of surrounding rock stress is the root of the accident causedby roof. FBG through its sensing principle, rely on the reflection spectrum characteristics andwavelength and parametric parameters to realize the stress strain testing. Stress changes in fibergrating wavelength drift, and at the same time, also led to the optical fiber grating reflectionspectrum changes, etc. Make stress the variation of conversion for fiber grating wavelength ofdrift, thus to achieve its sensing detection. From the theoretical study, FBG for the place of thestrain field and temperature field at the same time sensitive. So, there are strain and temperaturecross sensitivities. In establishing the strain and temperature sensing model, but also need tostrain and temperature cross sensitivity are analyzed and solved. Through error analysis, basedon the sensitivity matrix coefficient reference grating zero strain method can realize the basic ofstrain and temperature of separation, and is applied to the design of the sensor. Based on thedesign of the sensor and the simulation test, and than the traditional electricity sensor, opticalfiber Bragg grating sensor with its high sensitivity measurement precision and anti-jammingstrong advantages can well realize the coal mine roof of surrounding rock strain testing.
