Mining hazards risk research is an important part of disaster studying field. Theinternational society and scholars at home and abroad pay high attention to mininghazards risk research under the background the global natural disasters taking placeconstantly and strength enhancing.The types and characteristics of Fuxin mining area has been ascertained based onfield researching of mining disasters in Fuxin mining area and information accessing. Toreference the research results of risk assessment in mining disasters home and abroad, totake landslide hazard of Haizhou open pit in Fuxin mining area as an example, to takethe factors leading to disaster as a key, we discussed the way to the risk assessment oflandside hazard in Haizhou open pit.Combining with Haizhou open-pit coal minelandslide characteristics, to construct the index as the core Haizhou open-pit coal minerisk assessment system, to determine principles of criterion index the risk regiondivision, to establish the model of risk evaluation, to make risk evaluation and divisionof risk degree of Haizhou open pit mine. Making out measures to preventthe disaster ofHaizhou open-pit mine landslide.
