China is rich in coal resources, coal combustion produces a lot of gaseous andsolid pollutants, resulting in serious environmental problems. Only by vigorouslydeveloping the coal desulphurization and deashing technology, can we maintain thehealthy development of the coal industry. Based on three coal samples from differentregions of Shandong Province as the research object, phase analysis and sieve analysishas been in progress on the coal samples. In laboratory tests, flotation is the mainexperiment, magnetic separation is the subordinate test, one single factor one timemethod was employed, and determined the best conditions of every coal sample inflotation and magnetic separation. On the basis of experiments, carried out the flotationtime test, fractional release test, grinding fineness test and orthogonal experiment, andby comparing the different process, selected the best coal preparation process whichhas a great guiding significance of the actual production.Lucun coal sample is the coarse coal after jigging process, the ash content5.16%,total sulphur content2.29%, pyrite sulphur accounted for45.42%of the total sulphur.Use different coal preparation processes in the experiment, and by comparing, selectedthe best coal preparation flowsheet and reagent system. The flotation eventuallyobtained the coal which productivity88.48%, sulphur content1.87%, ash content3.02%, and the coal desulphurization rate31.26%, pyrite sulphur removal rate54.89%,deashing rate48.40%The6coal sample the ash content21.07%, total sulphur content4.23%, pyritesulphur contented for74.23%of the total sulhur. Coal after crushing, grinding, andthen processing it according to the process of magnetic separation-flotation, eventuallyobtained the clean coal which productivity70.37%, sulphur content2.01%, ash content10.03%, clean coal deashing rate66.28%, desulphurization rate66.64%, pyrite sulphurremoval rate78.02%.The9coal sample is the clean coal after2mm classification, and the ash content15.15%, total sulphur content2.07%, pyrite sulphur accounted for58.94%of the totalsulhur. Under the optimal conditions of the coal flotation desulphurization and deashing test, eventually obtained the clean coal which productivity91.28%, sulphurcontent1.60%, ash content9.54%, clean coal desulphurization rate30.76%, pyritesulphur removal rate46.09%, deashing rate42.54%.Through the tests and analyses, the flotation deashing effect is good, but thedesulphurization effect is poor, and the magnetic separation desulphurization effect isgood, deashing effect is poor, use combined flowsheet of magnetic separation andflotation can get better desulphurization and deashing effect when processing themedium-high sulphur coal.
