Nanometer ferroferric oxide has unique magnetic characteristics, and it can be extensively used for bioimaging, targeted drug delivery, magnetic resonance imaging and bioengineering. NaYF4is one of the high efficient matrixes for rare earth ion-doped luminescent materials owing to its low vibrational energies and excellent chemical and thermal stability. Presently, rare reports on magnetic-photoluminescent bifunctional one-dimensional nanomaterials composed of ferroferric oxide and rare earth ion-doped NaYF4are found in the references. Electro spinning has been proved to be one of the best methods to fabricate one-dimensional nanomaterials owing to its simple operation, high efficiency and reproducibility. Hence, it is an important and meaningful subject of study to fabricate magnetic-photoluminescent bifunctional one-dimensional nanomaterials by electrospinning and to investigate their properties. In this dissertation,[Fe3O4/PVP]//[NaYF4:Tb3+/PVP],[Fe3O4/PVP]//[NaYF4:Eu3+/PVP],[Fe3O4/PVP]//[NaYF4:Yb3+,Er3+/PVP] magnetic-photoluminescent bifunctional aligned nanoboundles were prepared via electrospinning technology. The samples were systematically characterized by modern measurement techniques, including XRD, SEM, EDS, TEM, VSM and PL method. The results reveal that the as-prepared nanomaterials exhibit the nanostructures of bistrand aligned nanobundles, and the samples possess excellent luminescent performance and magnetic properties. The luminescent characteristics and saturation magnetizations of the bistrand aligned nanobundles can be tuned by adding various amounts of rare earth luminescent materials and Fe3O4nanoparticles. These new findings have paved the way for the future study of magnetic-photoluminescent bifunctional nanostructured materials.
