| The micro-arc hardfacing surface repair technology is one of the specical processing methods for modern metal surface, which has become the main research objectives and research focus in recent decades. Especially, with the rapid development of the production technology and scientific and technological progress, the level of automation, production efficiency, processing power and operation speed are increasing as the increasing of production requirements. So the research of the micro-arc hardfacing surface repair technology also has been developed quickly, for it not only can extend the life of products, also can save the cost. Therefore, this technology is widely uesd in various applications, and has become the main force in metal surface repair field.In this paper, firstly, the research status of micro-arc surfacing repair technology is introduced, and the repair principle, the repair process parameters and industrial applications are analyzed. Then determine the factors affecting the application of the micro-arc surfacing repair technology and the main parameters impacting the deposition process performance. For the related issues, a new specialized micro-arc hardfacing surface repair machine is self-made, as well as the Ni based and Fe based electrodes.Through the experiments obtained that the surface roughness of the deposited coating can affect the subsequent deposition performance and the thickness of the coating. Because the surface roughness can impact the shape and the continuity of the discharge micro-arc, then affect the quality of the coating. Adoped high power Ni based electrode deposition plus small power Fe based electrode grinding process and small power grinding process, to achieve the mechanical impacting on the coating surface, which makes the deposited layer becomes uniform and smooth, also increases the thickness of the deposited layer. Grinding treatment on the coating surface can reduce the surface roughness and increase the thickness of the coating after the deposition. And exchange electrode also be able to increase the thickness of the deposited layer.The research work in this paper mainly has several innovative points.(1) A new specialized micro-arc hardfacing surface repair machine is designed.(2) Ni based and Fe based electrodes are self-made based on the ceramic tube casting method.(3) From different power, different electrode deposition and composite deposition perspective, to study the influence of the roughness, thickness and quality of the deposited layer, and by high-power deposition plus small power grinding experiment to obtain the relative data. |
