China is the largest steel-producing countries all over the world, many iron and steel enterprises consider reducing production costs effectively and improving product quality as the goal they pursue. As an important part of cold-rolled sheet steel strip production, the pickling line owns a lot of problems such as the lower level of industrial automation, serious energy consumption. The research on pickling process modeling and optimization problems aiming at reducing production costs and improving product quality has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper first introduces the basic principle of the pickling and the common method of the pickling, describes the detail of the pickling line process, analyzes the main influencing factors of the pickling process. Through deeply study of the pickling principle, this article establishes the model of the pickling reaction rate based on the theory of chemical reaction dynamics. To calculate the cost of the hydrochloric acid pickling process, the passage analyzes the material consumption and the energy consumption, correlates them with the operating variables (four acid tank temperature, tank concentration as well as strip running speed) to establish the mechanism model. Simulation results show the validity of the model. Then, the article utilizes the pickling process model established above to simulate the actual process by generating data, establishes a prediction model based on data for hydrochloric acid pickling process using KPLS method. On these foundations above, the paper establishes the pickling line process optimization model considering the max economic efficiency as the optimized objective, the operating variables as the decision variables, and gets the optimized results using the particle swarm optimization algorithm optimize to calculate. However, due to the existence of the process model error, there are some differences between the optimized results and the actual model output. To solve this problem, this paper try to use iterative optimization control method based on KPLS and SQP updating the control input so as to continuously improve the indicators of the actual profit, the simulation shows its effectiveness.
