Based on the development and improvement of the pickling technology now, turbulence hydrochloric acid pickling is adopted in most steel factories, because it has many advantages, such as high efficiency, good quality and low cost. Influence factors of turbulence hydrochloric acid pickling mainly includ acid temperature, acid concentration, degree of damage, ferrous ion concentration turbulence level etc..Among of them, turbulence level is adjusted by the quantity of flow, and degree of damage is adjusted by the tension and screw down amount. This research discussed the morphology and structure of oxide scale through both macroscopic angle and microscopic angle using the descaling and tension leveler testing machine. The relationshipship between influence factors and pickling time were studied by doing a lot of experiments using the turbulence pickling device. Comprehensive mathematical model was built.The results showed that the main descaling parameter was screw down amount that affected obviously pickling time.The higher flow rate needed shorter pickling time. The pickling time changed slightly when the flow rate reached a certain level. The thinner strip thickness and lower coiling temperature could form easily pickling oxide skin.Comprehensive mathematical model was built that was verified the coefficient of correlationship was more than 0.953. Turbulence pickling control strategy that using mathematical model was raised.
