The Study Of Urban Land Ecosystem Health Issue

The establishment of eco-city has been internationally recognized as the fourth generation of city development goals, and the development of ecological livable city requires the effectively operation of city functions. Thus as one of the subsystems of urban ecosystem--urban land ecosystem, whose efficient supply of ecosystem service would surely contribute to realize the goal. Therefore, to engage in the health management of urban land ecosystem would surely ensure to arouse the vigor, optimize the organization as well as strengthen the resilience of the whole ecosystem, and that would spur the efficient supply of urban land ecosystem services.This paper is on the basis of system engineering as well as ecological economics to deepen the connotation of "urban land ecosystem"; and define the components in the system according to ecological theory; define the health standard of urban land ecosystem; and explore the health operation mechanism of urban land ecosystem, so as to support to analyze the drive forces as well as stress factors; by the reference of the VOR health standard, to establish the health evaluation system. To take Chengdu city as an example, and explore the health status of its urban land ecosystem; in addition, the projection pursuit is taken to calculate the health score. Based on the theoretical analysis as well as empirical study, to draw a conclusion of suggestions of manage urban land ecosystem in general.The conculsion reveals that, the state of "urban land ecosystem" is the basis of components division; and the definition of producer, consumer, decomposer as well as inoganic evironment would contribute to explore the regulation of system health, which is the core basis of health drive forces as well as stresses analysis. By reference of health standard of ecosystem in ecological theory, to define the health standard of urban land ecosystem:an appropriate of arouse of vigor with a metabolism capbility, a reasonable organization structure with optimized resource, and a good resilience to keep the system in banlance from the internal as well as outer interference. According to that, to establish the "Vigor-Orgnazation-Resilience" health evaluation system, and evaluate the healthy status of urban land ecosystem in Chengdu city from2002to2011. According to the outcomes, the system has experinced a trend of "cold sick--partial cold sub-health-health--partial hot sub-health--overheating ill" during the study years, by following is the analysis of system health drive forces and stresses. At last, the feasibility policy suggestions of promoting the healthy development of urban land ecosystem are put forward.
