Ecosystem health is one of the hot issues in the ecology research. Ecological environment and ecosystem health problems are major issues human must face and resolve urgently. Regional land use has a significant impact on ecosystem health. As a new method of analyzing ecosystem, ecosystem health assessment has become a new goal of ecosystem and management has been goals paid much attention by researches. This paper summarized the present situation of domestic and foreign ecosystem health research and analyzed the theories on ecosystem health. Based on the regional characteristics of Anlu City, focusing on the regional environmental-economic-social characteristics and ecosystem structure and function services, using the according to the current ecosystem health research theory, the pressure-state-response (P-S-R) model of ecosystem health assessment was established. GIS and SPSS were used to analyze the special distribution rule of ecosystem health. Quantitative classification analysis method was applied into exploring the regional ecosystem health and environmental problems of Anlu City. According to the P-S-R and integrative health assessment results, an analysis on the typical health assessment modules and a comparative analysis based on their different ecological state were given. This paper explored the impact of regional health factors, explained the regional ecosystem health status of the natural conditions and human activities, put forward a regional ecosystem health development strategy for rational use of resources and protection. The thesis is divided into six parts as follows:The first part was exordium. It explained the paper research background; the present situation of domestic and foreign ecosystem health research; the research object; the research content; the research method. The second part was ecosystem health theory. By summing up the concept of ecosystem health, arguments and ecosystem health of the ecology theory research and assessment scale, methodology, indicators, research progress, the author argued that the health and ecological link up with some reasonable. Ecosystem health was that ecosystem under the natural and man-made interference to maintain self-regulatory function of the material and good circulation and energy flow, to meet human needs and the social, economic and natural sustainable development. The third part was ecosystem health assessment modeling. By analyzing the existing ecosystem health theory and according to P-S-R model, based on the principle of the selection of indicators, as township for the assessment of the ecological system modules, this paper designed the P-S-R target system model and integrative assessment methods for ecosystem health assessment. This paper selected land pressure, population pressure, vigor, organization and resilience, natural systems and human systems response and other indicators of ecosystem health assessment. The ecosystem health results were classified by five levels: relatively best, relatively better, relatively normal, relatively worse, relatively worst. The regional ecosystem information was obtained 2004 land-use database of Anlu City on MAPGIS platform. The socio-economic data was obtained from Anlu City 2004 Statistical Yearbook. Extreme standardized methods and SPSS software were used for ecosystem health composite index calculation. The fourth part was a case study. Firstly, the basic profiles of Anlu City was analyzed. Secondly, data source and data processing were introduced. Then the four major land types (farmland, forest land, construction land and unused land) were analysed by a comparatively spatial analysis. Finally, using the methods described in the third part, ecosystem health scores of composite index of pressure, state, response and health indicators were calculated. The fifth part was spatial expression and result analysis. MAPGIS was used in this part. Firstly, the results of the pressure, state and response were analyzed, then the integrative health results were analyzed. Health integrative analysis showed that: ecosystem health in north Anlu City was relatively excellent conditions, central northern was relatively better, in southern was relatively worse, south-eastern was relatively worst, and the relatively normal was vacancy. Secondly, some of the typical health assessment modules were selected for comparative analysis and the corresponding countermeasures were given. Selected to the largest proportion of four major categories (farmland, forest land, construction land and unused land) for typical analysis, the results showed that: Forest land and unused land larger share of the ecosystem health was relatively best. Farmland larger share of the ecosystem health was relatively worse. Construction land larger share of the ecosystem health was relatively worst. Responsed to the conclusions, the causes and the corresponding countermeasures were given. The sixth part was the conclusions and prospects. This part summarized the main results and conclusions of innovation, research and absence. Then the direction for further research was pointed out.
