In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology and the great researchprogress of material science, the computer simulation of microstructural evolution in hot rollinghas been one of the hot topics in metal material processing.In this paper, combined with hot strip rolling Q345E in a factory, on the basis oflaboratory research, using the method of combining physical simulation and numericalsimulation,the temperature field of the cooling process after rolling and microstructureevolution were analysed and simulated;final microstructure was predicted and verified;beside,laminar cooling process on the edge masking cooling methods were analyzed and discussed.By using the method of simulating the physical simulation and software, Q345E steel CCTand TTT curve is studied, and the microstructure was analyzed by metallographic experiment.The key part of performance prediction technology organization is phase transformationthermodynamics and kinetics of phase transition, so the model accurately is very important.In reference to the basis of the study results of the large number of domestic and foreignresearchers and other members of the research group, select the appropriate temperature modeland JMAK classical phase transition dynamics model, and establish temperature variation、microstructure and properties evolution during a cooling process after rolling in mathematicalmodels.According to the thermal property parameters of steel Q345E, establish the finite elementmodel of laminar cooling process, using the model to calculate transient temperature field andmicrostructure and properties transformation in the laminar cooling process, then make use ofcomputer graphics theory, and combine with held microstructure and properties transformationcharacteristics in the steel sample heat simulation experiments, to discuss the law oftemperature field variation、microstructure and properties transformation of the laminar coolingprocess in the finite element of DEFORM-3D software. Finally establish a set of computersimulation system about new technology of laminar cooling process, in order to providetheoretical basis for the actual production process.Study on the cooling way of adopting edge masking in laminar cooling process by usingthe simulation system, and sturcture simulation results show that ferrite, pearlite, bainite andmartensite organization are left after the laminar cooling. After compared with theorganizational performance simulation results with the experimental results and field data, it hasgreat effect and verifies the reliability of the simulation system.
