The paper has made detailed research plan on the following issues, including thecomprehensive analysis on the LNG vehicles special catalyst performance, LNG vehiclesspecial catalyst and matching performance test platform construction and performance ofcatalyst for LNG vehicles fuel economy and emission of vehicle matching test study. Withthe help the plan, the good matching of LNG vehicle special catalysts with the performanceof the whole vehicle has achieved, which provides theoretical basis for the development ofLNG three-way catalytic converter and LNG vehicle matching. Its research methods andtechnology have important theoretical realistic significance.Based on the863project undertaken by Tianjin Xiali Automobile Co., R&D Center, theModern Traffic Technology, including the topics of energy conservation and new energyvehicle project as well we automotive product development of LNG with electronic controlinjection of single fuel, the paper, combing experimental verification with theories, analyzesthe LNG product with electronic injection of single fuel, and researches on the optimizationdesign theory and technology scheme of three-way catalytic converter for the exclusive useof LNG, featuring high efficiency and low emission. And the innovative points and majorthoughts are demonstrated as follows:1. The paper expatiates on the above-mentioned special working conditions andcatalytic principle of catalysts through the discussion of three parts, including influences andfactors of special catalysts for LNG vehicles, the components and effects of the conditions ofuse on the catalyst performance as well as the catalyst performance evaluation and workingcondition test.2. The paper makes adjustment for the selection of LNG steel cylinders, vehicle postureadjustment and calibration test validation by establishing the platform of overall schemedesign and the gas system matching study. Thus, the problems have been solved so that thevehicle driving calibration has completed smoothly. Ultimately, the determination ofreliability of the whole vehicle has provided theoretical basis for LNG single fuel vehiclepopulation.3. Those calibration matching tests based on experiments demonstrate convincingly that the above-mentioned LNG special catalyst can be matched with the power performance andfuel economy of the vehicle, which helps the vehicle reach the national IV emissionstandard.
