As one kind of common physical phenomenon, vibration exsits in our daily life andwork. However, with the rapid development of economy and the development of modernindustry, the different kinds of vibration and noise disturb us during our rest, study and work.On one hand, the mechanical vibration and noise change our living environment. Notably,itgetting worse which make the workers suffering from the physical and mental health problem;On the other hand, it will also influence the accuracy and stability of equipment, reduce thesensitivity, and eventually lead to the failure of equipment, as result, they can not worknormaly. With the rapid developing of industrialization, vibration and noise problem isparticularly prominent, the traditional process can not satisfy people, they demand for betterenvironment. Constrained damping material is considered as a promising candidate forvibration and noise reduction due to their various energy consumption routs andenvironmental flexibility compared the traditional materials. But the recent researches aremainly focus on the structure design of the constraint damping materials, few report concernabout the preparation of constrained damping materials. In order to providing a commonadaptively method for the praparation of composite constrained damping material, this papermainly do the following research:First of all, the article summarized the previous achievements, and then designed thepreparation and selection of composite constrained damping materials. In order to investigatethe damping performance of the compound constrained damping material, this paperproposes two factors, the glass transition temperature (Tg) and the hardness of constraintlayer of the damping layer material.Secondly, according to the design, two kinds of polymers, polyurethane elastomer andepoxy resin were selected for the preparing of the materials with different Tg distribution anddifferent hardness value by designing molecular structure and controlling mold process. Inthis artical a series of constraint layer and damping layer materials were synthetized.Polyurethane elastomer with different isocyanato content of the polyurethane elastomer,polyether amine-modified epoxy resin, and polyurethane elastomer with high hardness valuewere applied respectively as the damping layer and constraint layer. Finally, a series of composite constrained damping materials have been prepared and theproperties of the composite were examined in detail. The obtained samples were systemicallycharacterized by Dynamic Mechanical Analysis. The damping performance indicates that theTg value of constraint layer or damping layer materials has limited effect on dampingperformance of the compound material, while the influence is obvious on distribution of thehardness value. it can be conclude that during the preparation of composite constraineddamping materials, the selection of constraint layer and damping layer materials play criticalrole in improving damping performance of the composite: the constraint layer and dampinglayer materials with less contact ratio of Tg and more difference hardness value are suggestedto be selected.
