Epoxy resin was selected as the matrix, EP-g-PU IPN was prepared through epoxy resin modified by isocyanate terminated polyurethane. By adding the organic low molecules AO-60, a series of high damping materials were prepared, the interaction with components and the dispersion were discussed. The effects on materials’damping properties were discussed by adding expanded graphite, and the mechanism was studied. Glass transition temperature was reduced with increasing the content of polyurethane, and materials’damping properties were improved with increasing the content of polyurethane when NCO/OH was2. But when polyurethane content was constant, the mole ration of NCO/OH had not a great effect on systems’ dynamic mechanical properties. AO-60/EP/PU-g-IPN was prepared by adding AO-60, and processing was also studied. The damping properties of AO-60/EP/PU-g-IPN were improved due to the strong interaction between AO-60and PU molecular chain, but the mechanical properties of composites were reduced with AO-60content increased because of toughening effect and particle aggregation. Expanded graphite was prepared after heat shock at800℃, glass transition temperature was increased with increasing the content of expanded graphite, when content of expanded graphite was suitable, because of large internal surface, expanded graphite introduced more energy dissipation due to internal friction between the layers produced by additional shear.
