Mining of coal resource plays an important position of energy industry in China. With the increasing of mining scale, the surface subsidence increasingly serious produce by mining of coal resource in the course of mining, which causes balance been destroyed between the ecological environment of mining area and structures. Therefore, studying law of surface subsidence caused by coal mining has important significance for safety mining and reducing damage caused by exploitation. Research of parameters for prediction of surface displacement is the basis of studying mining subsidence prediction. The main content of the paper is research of parameters for prediction of surface displacement calculation methods and program realization. The key content is how to gain prediction parameters using different optimization algorithm according to surface movement observational data of arbitrary observation line.This paper took Wugou mine of Hengyuan Coal and Electricity limited company as example. Observation stations were built.Using three optimization methods which are linear least square method,genetic algorithm and pattern search method calculated parameters for prediction of surface displacement(including subsidence coefficient q, the radius of the main tangent tgβ/tgβ/tgβdown/tgβup,the inflection point of moving distance Sleft/Sright/Sdown/Sup,the greatest subsidence angle θ and horizontal movement factor b).The paper studied the fitting effects of three optimization methods. The example shows that the fitting effect of genetic algorithm and pattern search method is better than linear least square method.In this paper, using MATLAB programming language and probability integral model, the procedures were compiled about arbitrary direction observation line parameters for prediction of surface displacement calculation. The parameters for prediction of surface displacement calculation methods and program can give a guiding significance to other coal mines which were similar to the geological and mining condition of this mining area.
