Research On The Application Of Handcraft Textile Printing On Fashion Design

Handcraft Textile printing contains profound cultural elements, of both appreciation and practical values. Modern handcraft printing techniques are rich and varied. Modern handcraft direct printing and handcraft transfer printing can not only meet the requirements of fashion design, but also can be simplistic, modern, and improves the taste of fashion design.The history of the handcraft textile printing has been accompanied by the history of hand-dyeing printing. In order to research on the origin and overview development of handcraft textile printing, through referring to relevant documents, sum up the relationship between the hand-direct printing types and the origins of Chinese handcraft textile printing; and hand-transfer printing when practically applied.According to basic principle of handcrafted textile printing, sophisticated techniques, and personal experience, carry out the experiment of making pattern and new handcraft textile printing techniques. Thus, having inducted and summed up the making pattern method of hand-direct textile printing, including four methods:carving methods, knot paste method, coating method, and sub-version method. Each one is suitable for different version printing techniques. The sponge imprint technique is verified by experiment. Further, in order to increase the application range of cold transfer printing, reconciled with the techniques of slur and pigment, and carried out experiments on the production quantity of the cold transfer printing techniques.Applying the method of print pattern design and through experimenting the research on techniques of handcraft textile printing, grasped the pattern design principles of handcraft textile printing. Also through referring to the needs of modern design elements and production, obtained three innovative ideas including:the optimization of pattern designs, the combination of hand-printing methods, and the simplification of the production process.Through attaining the main factor of fashion design, handcraft textile printing elements have been added to the fashion design, namely, design target, fabric design, and pattern position. The above methods and principles, followed the steps, tested by experiment, assisted with argumentation. Regarding the results of handcraft textile printing techniques systematization and pattern design innovative ideas, conducted the application experiment which are hand-printed on clothing decoration and the collection of women’s business wear. The application of handcraft textile printing in fashion design has been accelerated quickly to adapt to non-stop growing technology, and the competitive advantage of handcraft textile printing has been promoted in fierce market.
