Electrospinning is a process which can continuously transform polymer solution into nanofibers under the action of electric field force. Recently electrospinning has attracted interest as a technique for manufacturing sub-micron fibers, and its research has entered into a high-speed development period. Currently, electrospinning has featured research in many directions, including application,large-scale production, ordered fibers, etc. The charged jet will be affected by the electric field during a electrospinning process. The control of electrospun jets and the distribution of electrospun fibers can be achieved by controlling the electric field. By changing the shape and size of receiving devices and electrodes, this article will discuss the electrospinning electric field, and it’s influence on fiber receiving and fiber morphology. In the second chapter and the third chapter, under the condition of changing size and shapes of the receiving devices, some comparative experiments and electric field simulations will be conducted in three electrospinning devices, these are single-needle electrospinning, single-hole electrospinning and seven-hole electrospinning. Experimental and simulation results show that electric field and fiber diameter of single-needle electrospinning will have little change with sizes changing. However, the surface electric field and fibers mat will be more and more uneven as the sizing changing. In terms of one-hole and seven-hole devices, both electric field and surface electric field will have an obvious change as the size changes in which fine fiber can hardly achieved. A spherical-hat collection target and a circular plane collector will also be used in a group of comparative experiments. The results of the experiment and simulation demonstrate that more uniform electric field, fibers with smaller diameters and more uniform fiber mats can achieved by using electrodes of smaller size or spherical-hat collection targets. Electrodes of different sizes and a rotary devices will be used in comparative experiments in Chapter IV, the experiment and simulation demonstrate that fine fibers and uniform fiber mats can be achieved in electrospinning devices in which electrodes with large size or with a rotary receiving device.
