Benzanthrone is a kind of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds which have a carcinogenic to human body, and the eyes, skin and mucous membrane can be irritated. Initially benzanthrone is found in diesel particulate matter and organic extraction of air particles. benzanthrone widely exists in the atmosphere, soil, sediment, motor vehicle exhaust, media environment media such as fly ash that can be confirmed by the experiment. So far there are some shortcomings of the detection of benzanthrone.A method for rapid identification of benzanthrone by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) has been developed. Benzanthrone forms addition complexes with iron(III) chloride. In the LDI, the complexes form characteristic ions such as [M+H]+,[Fe(M)2(Cl)2]+and [Fe3+(M)(M-CO)(C1)2]+(M=benzanthrone). The benzanthrone analyte could be identified rapidly by the accurate molecular weight using MALDI-TOF-MS. Detection limit of benzanthrone was86pmol (S/N=3)。In the experiment, first we established a simple, rapid HPLC method for separating and detecting benzanthrone, the main analysis method is set up the HPLC-UV to detection of Yan Ji station the benzanthrone from the soil, and its content were tested, after qualitative analysis use the MALDI-TOF-MS. using a conventional ODS column as separation column, mobile phase is methanol:current(7:3), the velocity is0.5mL/min, the column temperature is30℃, detection wavelength is254nm. Under the chromatographic conditions, benzanthrone within the scope of0.2μg/mL-40μg/mL has a good linear relationship. Using the ultrasonic extraction method of soil benzanthrone in extraction, and use HPLC-UV to measure the content.
