Ferrocene-based compounds and ferrocene-based polymers modified carbon materials could be widely used in ammonium perchlorate (AP) based propellants due to their unique structure, excellent performance and synergistic catalytic effect during the catalytic process. The synthesis and properties of some ferrocene-based compound and ferrocene-based polymer modified carbon materials were studied in this thesis.(1) Two new ferrocene modified graphene oxide (GO-Fc and GO-EDA-Fc) were synthesized via new synthesis routes. GO-Fc and GO-EDA-Fc were characterized by FT-IR and XRD, and their morphologies were observed by SEM. The influence of these ferrocene modified graphene oxide on the decomposition of AP was studied by TGA method. It was found that the addition of the synthesized materials decreased the decomposition temperature of AP. These materials had good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP. The results showed that the promotive effect was improved with increasing the content of ferrocene modified graphene oxide. It was also found that these ferrocene modified graphene oxide had shown a synergistic catalytic effect and had anti-migration performances in propellant.(2) A nanocomposite material (P(Py-PyFc)@MWCNTs) had been successfully synthesized by the in-situ chemical oxidation polymerization with acid-treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs-COOH), pyrrole(Py) and ferrocene modified pyrrole(Py-Fc). The prepared materials were characterized by FT-IR、TGA、 XRD and CV, and their morphologies were observeed by SEM and TEM. The influence of P(Py-PyFc)@MWCNTs on the decomposition of AP was studied by TGA method. It was found that P(Py-PyFc)@MWCNTs had good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP. It was also found that P(Py-PyFc)@MWCNTs had anti-migration performances in propellant.(3) Ferrocene compound modified carbon black (CBs-Fc) and poly(meth)-acrylate ferrocenyl formyloxy propyl esters grafted carbon black(CBs-g-PFHPMA) were successfully synthesized in this thesis. CBs-Fc and CBs-g-PFHPMA were characterized by FT-IR and TGA, and their morphologies were observeed by TEM. The influence of these ferrocene modified carbon blacks on the decomposition of AP was studied by TGA method. It was found that the addition of the ferrocene modified carbon blacks decreased the decomposition temperature of AP. These materials had good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP. The results showed that the promotive effects were improved by increasing the content of ferrocene modified carbon blacks. It was also found that these ferrocene modified carbon black had shown a synergistic catalytic effect and had anti-migration performances in propellant.
