Ferrocene could be widely used in ammonium perchlorate(AP)based propellants due to their unique structure,excellent performance and good burning rate catalytic effect.However,the migration of ferrocene in solid propellant heavily restricted its further application.In this thesis,the synthesis and properties of some ferrocene-based epoxy compounds and ferrocene-based polymers were studied.(1)3-(Ferrocenylcarbonyl)propionic acid diglycidyl ester was synthesized by Friedel-Craft acylation of ferrocene with succinic anhydride followed by the reaction with epichlorohydrin.The compound was characterized by]H-NMR,13C-NMR,FT-IR and MS.Its electrochemical behavior and redox property were investigated by cyclic voltammetry.10 TGA samples were prepared using ferrocene,Catocene and 3-(ferrocenylcarbonyl)propionic acid diglycidyl ester as burning rate catalysts,respectively.The influence of different catalysts on the decomposition of AP was studied.3 samples containing ferrocene,Catocene and 3-(ferrocenylcarbonyl)propionic acid diglycidyl ester were prepared to explore their anti-migration performaces.It was found that the addition of the synthesized compound decreased the decomposition temperature of AP.This compound had good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP.The results showed that the promotive effect was improved with increasing the content of 3-(ferrocenylcarbonyl)propionic acid diglycidyl ester.It was also found that 3-(ferrocenylcarbonyl)propionic acid diglycidyl ester showed an anti-migration performance in solid propellant.This work provided the basic data of this compound using as burning rate catalyst in the solid propellant.(2)Poly(2-ferrocenylacyloxy propyl methacrylate)was successfully synthesized by free-radical addition polymerization initiated by AIBN.5 polymers with different molecular weight were prepared through changing the ratio of initiator to monomer.The prepared compound was characterized by 1H-NMR,FT-IR and GPC.Its electrochemical behavior and redox property were investigated by cyclic voltammetry.14 TGA samples were prepared using Catocene and poly(2-ferrocenylacyloxy propyl methacrylate)as burning rate catalysts,respectively.The influence of different catalysts on the decomposition of AP was studied.7 samples containing ferrocene,Catocene and poly(2-ferrocenylacyloxy propyl methacrylate)were prepared to explore their anti-migration performaces.It was found that poly(2-ferrocenylacyloxy propyl methacrylate)had good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP.It was also found that poly(2-ferrocenylacyloxy propyl methacrylate)had a better anti-migration performance in propellant than ferrocenyl epoxy compounds.(3)Ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate)was successfully synthesized by free-radical addition polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate followed by the reaction with ferrocene carboxylic acid.5 polymers with different molecular weight and ferrocene content were prepared through changing the ratio of initiator to monomer and the ratio of polymer to ferrocene carboxylic acid.The prepared compound was characterized by 1H-NMR,FT-IR and GPC.Its electrochemical behavior and redox property were investigated by cyclic voltammetry.14 TGA samples were prepared using Catocene and ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate)as burning rate catalysts,respectively.The influence of different catalysts on the decomposition of AP was studied.7 samples containing ferrocene,Catocene and ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate)were prepared to explore their anti-migration performaces.It was found that the addition of the ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate)decreased the decomposition temperature of AP.This compound had a good promotive effect on the decomposition of AP.The results showed that the promotive effects were improved by increasing the content of ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate).It was also found that ferrocene modified poly(glycidyl methacrylate)had anti-migration performances in solid propellant.
