The research on the stope roof’s stability is a gordian knot of the underground pressure control research, and the roof accident is connected with the mine condition, geology factor, mine method, and roof’s support and control methods closely. The first reason to the accident on the underground stope roof is unknowing of the roof’s condition, and the second one is lack of preventive measures.This Paper focuses on the classification and control of the stability of the surrounding rocks of stopes on the background of XinCheng Gold Mine. Based on the actual engineering geology and mining technolgy, the method combined with actual measurement and cable bolting is used to research the stope stability. Centered on the investigation, the following work is carried out:1. The mixture ratio of cementitious materials of anchor cable and mechanical testing were performed with different kinds of mortar mixed. Then, the best mix proportion is presented by analyzing various behavior indexes of cement mortar, the pullout test for short bolt in laboratory was carried out. Furthermore, the reasonable support parameters were determined. At last, a FLAC3D numerical simulation model was established to analyze the law of the whole instability in pull-tests for a cable.2. It was provied to the based dates for rock stability calssfication by indoor rock mechanics experiments, advanced ShapeMetrix3D digital photogrammetry measuring system and joint investigate.The Q system was employed to grade the stope rock.3. Base on above-mentioned researches, the overhang and group mechanism of anchor stock support and the geometry information of the dangerous rock mass, were used to determine supporting scheme and parameters. Then, Roof control effect was very good by carrying out field test of stope support. The research result provids the roof stability control technology to make sure the safe and efficiency mine in Xin Cheng Gold Mine.
