ZnO-B2O3-SiO2system transparent glass-ceramic was prepared by melting crystallization method. The heat treatment range of the base glass was determined by DSC analysis. After repeated experiments and eventually determine the optimal heat treatment system:insulation30min at660℃, insulation30min at750℃. The crystalline phase of the glass-ceramic was determined by XRD, it shows that the main crystalline phase of glass-ceramic is ZnAl2O4. According to the SEM results, it shows that the crystal shape is round, the grain size is substantially in80nm. Ultraviolet-visible-near infrared spectrophotometer is used to determine the light transmittance of samples. Rare earth doped ZnO-B2O3-SiO2transparent glass-ceramic is prepared by adding Eu3+and Tb3+into the ZnO-B2O3-SiO2transparent glass system, then make a series of glass-ceramic characterization testing. The results about its properties reveal that rare earth doped almost has no effect on its structure, crystal phase, only the optical performance can be attained.
