Core-shell nanostructure composites with multi-layer based on the various core and shell materials are effectively regulated and controlled for the size and morphology, thereby multi-functions and novel physical and chemical properties are obtained. In recent years, a type of core-shell nanostructure based on noble metal and rare earth nanoparticles is attracting considerable attention, the novel core-shell nanostructures combining the surface plasmon resonances from noble metal and rich multicolor emissions from rare earth nanoparticles have the potential applications in bioimages, sensing technologies biological labeling. In this thesis, we have developed a series of one dimensional core-shell Ag@SiO2, Ag@YF3:Eu3+, Ag@SiO2@YF3:Eu3+, Ag@SiO2@YF3:Er3+/Yb3+, Ag@PS@YF3:Eu3+nanostuctures based on a facile chemical method. The structure and properties of samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), fluorescence spectroscope, respectively. The results indicate that the surface of Ag nanowires is smooth and the average size of silver nanowires is about60nm, the average length is5μm. The luminescence of Eu3+is quenched and the up-conversion luminescence of Er3+/Yb3+is enhanced. Meanwhile, the luminescence intensities of the core-shell nanstructures vary with the thickness of SiO2.
