Fullerene nanofibers (FNFs) which show potential applications in many fields have attracted widespread attentions from people. FNFs composed of C60/C70has also been prepared by using a C60/C70soot are more suited to practical application, since the soot is much cheaper than pure C60and C70, respectively.In this thesis, fullerene C60/C70FNFs were synthesized by a liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation (LLIP) method, which used pyridine (Py), benzene, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) as solvents and isopropyl alcohol as the precipitation. The morphology and structure of FNFs were characterized by using polarizing optical microscope (POM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).The results showed the diameter distribution of FNFs obtained from the pyridine-isopropanol system trend to uniform with the increasing of irradiated-time; the diameter of Py-FNFs is between300-1000nm. The diameter of benzene-FNFs is between200-600nm and the "syringe" morphology was found. FNFs got from NMP-IPA interface have a core-shell structure with high aspect ratio between length to width (>1000).In this work, the composition of FNFs was primarily characterized by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) and Raman spectroscopy for the first time. The influence of preparation conditions on FNFs was studied. It was concluded C70content of pyridine-FNFs was decreasing gradually with the increasing of irradiated-time by HPLC; The concentration and distribution of C70in single pyridine-FNF was evaluated by Raman spectroscopy. The results suggest that the C60/C70composition is different in every single pyridine-FNF. The composition of benzene-FNFs is C60-26mole%C70by HPLC.N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) FNFs were synthesized by the liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation method, which used C60/C70-NMP solution and IPA. C60/C70-NMP solution was studied by UV-Vis spectra. The formation of charge-transfer complexes between NMP and C60, C70molecules and the stacking way of them closely related to the formation of FNFs.
