BOPA film is a new type of high-grade packaging material which has broad application prospect, but in the process of production and using, the easily adhesion between the film seriously hinder the production and use of high speed. In order to avoid the occurrence of blocking, usually a certain amount of additives in the production of films will be used to achieve the anti-block effect.In this paper, Nano-SiO2and four types of modified POSS were selected as anti-blocking agents to prepare PA6masterbatch by melt blending. Anti-blocking PA6film was prepared by calendaring technology using the obtained masterbatch. The friction coefficient, wetting, optical, and mechanical properties were studied.By adding Nano-SiO2, the thermal stability of PA6could not be improved obviously. The friction coefficient of Nano-SiO2/PA6film decreased with the increase of Nano-SiO2, which indicated the anti-blocking property was improved. At the same time, the mechanical property of Nano-SiC2was kept at the level of PA6, meanwhile the contact angle with water increased and infiltration process slowed down.POSS/PA6masterbatch showed improved thermal stability with the starting decomposition increased at least10℃. The crystallization was not affected by adding POSS. The melt index was increased by adding OM-POSS, Oib-POSS, and Aib-POSS except Tsp-POSS, indicating a better processing property could be achieved. The friction coefficient of POSS/PA6film decreased with the increase of POSS showing a improved anti-blocking property. Among the four types of POSS, Aib-POSS/PA6exhibited lowest friction coefficient and best anti-blocking property. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties obtained certain enhancement. Within the improvements in anti-blocking, processing and mechanical properties, Aib-POSS/PA6films’water contact angle obviously increased and infiltration process slowed down at the same time, which shows the effect of improving water barrier properties of PA6films.Both Nano-SiO2and POSS were effective anti-blocking agents, which could improving the thermal stability and keep the mechanical property not to be worse. Aib-POSS possessed the multiple effects of enhancing the thermal stability, processing, mechanical, and water barrier properties of PA6film, implying a widely use in the field of BOPA industry.
