Polyester is the most representative species of synthetic fiber. In the world, the requirement of polyester is more than60%that of synthetic fiber. In our country, the requirement of polyester is more than70%that of synthetic fiber. And the supply and demand of polyester is still growing. Polyester, which is the biggest production and consumption, widest applications of synthetic fiber, is major used to clothing, decoration and industrial.Nano-titanium dioxide applied to textile can be used to resist static, UV, extinction, Infrared Absorption, Anti-aging and Self-cleaning. Since the price is large different between different levels of extinction polyester fiber in import and export business of polyester fiber. At the same time, titanium dioxide have affect of lustre, capability of heat and dyeing. Determine the content of titanium dioxide in polyester, and then evaluate extinction level of polyester fast and accurately become a very important work.In this paper, it is going to use the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP—MS) and technology of wet digestion and microwave digestion to look for a appropriate way to determine the content of titanium dioxide in polyester.In this paper, titanium standard solution is deploied by using sulphuric acid and ammonium sulfate to digestion titanium dioxide. Test proved that when the dosage of sulphuric acid is8mL, the dosage of ammonium sulfate is5g, digestion effect is best.In this paper, wet digestion and microwave digestion is used separately to dispel polyester samples. Test proved that the best condition of wet digestion is:the dosage of sulphuric acid is8mL, the dosage of ammonium. the carbonization time is7min, the dispelling time is5min. The best condition of microwave digestion is H2SO4:HNO3=5:3, the heating-up time from room temperature to100℃is5min, and then the heating-up time of from100℃to180℃is5min, holding temperature for20min, lower the temperature below50℃, Remove the digestion tank, keep cooling, and then dilute to test.The least standard deviation of the test method in this paper is only1.08%. The detection limit of the method using ICP-MS is4.0mg/kg. In0.1~10μg/mL range, the related coefficient of working curve using ICP-MS R2=0.9999. The recovery rate is84.82%-98.42%, it is able to meet the test requirements.
