Metallic oxide nano material has the quantum size effect, small size effect, interface or surface effect and macroscopic quantum tunneling effect because of its structural characteristics. It plays an important role in the field of optoelectronic devices, sensors, catalysts, functional composite materials. Electrospinning is to use an electrical charge to draw very fine (typically on the micro or nano scale) fibres from a liquid. Electrospinning shares characteristics of both electrospraying and conventional solution dry spinning of fibers. The process does not require the use of coagulation chemistry or high temperatures to produce solid threads from solution. In this work, electrospinning is used to fabric different kinds of metallic oxide and two component metallic oxide and the metallic oxide is used in DBD processing to decolorize the dye. The main work is as followed:NiO, ZnO, NiO/ZnO, NiO/Fe2O3nanofibers were successfully fabricated by electrospinning the solution consisting of polyacrylonitrile(PAN), polyvinlpyrrolidone(PVP) and zinc acetate(or nickel acetate, diiron trioxalate) composite through a single capillary. The craft of electrospinning and calcination is discussed. The as-prepared nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) spectra, respectively. The best electrospinning craft is (the positive voltage was10kV, the distance between the needle tip and collector was15cm and the rate of the flow was0.6mL/h), and the best calcination craft is (rate of15℃/h and remained600℃for400min).The as-prepared nanofibers were used with the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma possessing in the treatment of wastewater discharged from textile and dying mills. The results showed that the solution of dye decolorized a little more rapidly with the metallic oxide nanofibers in the DBD processing. The decoloration rate had no significant increase.Zhang Xiaojie (Textile Chemistry and Dyeing and Finishing Engineering) Supervised by Associate Professor Li Rong...
