The environmental pollution and energy crisis, which especially includes the pollution andshortage of water resources, have been aggravated due to the development of industrialcivilization. Dye wastewater becomes the primary polluter of organic wastewater because of itscomplicated components, high saltness and additives, and large biotoxicity. Nowadays, thevisible-light responded photocatalyst has caused widespread concern at home and abroad, because it can effectively utilize the energy of visible light which consists in more than50%sunlight to the oxidative degradation of organic pollutants. In the present work, we prepared the zinc phthalocyanine crystallite compounds by a nsolvothermal process. The samples were characterized by using FE-SEM, XRD, FTIR, TEM. Wemade a systematic study about the preparation, morphology of zinc phthalocyanine and its in-situgrowth on the surface of carbon fiber. What’s more, the visible light catalytic properties of thesamples are studied. The results showed that:1, When using phthalonitrile(PN) as the precursor, zinc acetate dihydrate(Zn(Ac)2·2H2O) asthe metal salt, Ammonium molybdate as the catalyst, Ethylene glycol(EG) as the solvent, weprepared ZnPc with the morphology of globular and rodlike structure by a one-step solvothermalprocess. The results show that the concentration of RhB was reduced nearly40%by7hours’degradation of ZnPc. When using the polyethylene(PEG) and water as co-solvent, we prepared anew ZnPc derivative, ZnxMoyCzN1-x-y-z, with a morphology of micron flower-like sphere, theresults show that the concentration of RhB was reduced thoroughly in8hours by the degradationof ZnxMoyCzN1-x-y-z. The adding of PEG plays an important role in controlling the morphologyand improving the catalytic activity of ZnPc.2, When adding Polyethylene glycol(PEG) or Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB)respectively into the solution before the reaction of solvothermal process, the morphology ofZnPc correspondingly turned to be a honeycomb-like lamella ball with a diameter around2microns and a nanosphere with a diameter around100nanometers. The results showed that thespecific surface area, pore diameter and the ability of degradation of RhB dyes of PEG-assistedZnPc is more better than CTAB-asisted ZnPc’s. By studying the influence of the molecularweight of PEG and the concentration of CTAB on the morphology of ZnPc,we suggested thatthe morphology formation of PEG-assisted ZnPc was an ostwald ripening process, and CTAB-assisted ZnPc was a micellar growth process.3, With using EG as the solvent, we prepared a zinc phthalocyanine/carbon fiber compositein by loading ZnPc directly to carbon fiber which is treated by the concentrated acid(ZnPc-CF).The zinc phthalocyanine prepared by a in-situ growth on the interface of carbon fiber is amicrosphere with a diameter of1micron. The result of quantitative analysis made clear that thecontent of zinc phthalocyanine on ZnPc-CF was0.5x10-6mol/mg. In addition, the visible-lightphotocatalytic rate of ZnPc-CF composite was more better than the zinc phthalocyanine powder. Its degradation rate was as high as92.5%, although being persistently used for4times...
