Currently, efficient, energy-saving and environment-friendly textile machinery has becomethe developmental direction of the next-generation textile machinery. Electronic jacquardmachine is a device to achieve loom weaving in the opening machinery, the election needlestructure uses a lot of electromagnets. Therefore, the energy consumption status during use ofelectromagnets will affect the energy-saving effect of the machine greatly. Currently domesticenergy consumption the research for the energy saving electronic jacquard control system is stilla gap with foreign. Therefore, it is of vital practical significance to study energy-savingelectronic Jacquard machine, through the analysis and modeling of the electromagnet needleselection process.This thesis introduces current researches and future development of electronic Jacquardmachine both at home and abroad, its operating principle as well as the drive circuit of the needleselector. The thesis also selects the development program of the master controller and putsemphasis on the design of the drive circuit of the electronic Jacquard machine’s needle selector.Besides, the thesis draws reference from voltage circuit, voltage comparator circuit and thedesign of electromagnet main circuit and proposes an electricity-control-oriented drive circuitand later offers the software algorithm and the calculating method of average current. Next, thisis verified by the experiment and it shows that the method is able to realize the quick andefficient pull-in of high current in the electromagnet and maintain low current and low-powerdissipation. In designing the MCP, a low-power dissipation and cost-effective LPC1765processor is adopted as center controller; and other corresponding functions are exploredaccording to the functional requirements of the system. The now popular USB technology is alsoutilized; a friendly man-machine interface is designed; large-capacity storage device is selected;in addition, the synchronization signal detection circuit as well as the weft selection signalinterface circuit and each input and output interface circuits are designed. Finally, the authorcompletes the communication between the driver board and the main control board and adopts adifferential serial transmission mode to ensure a stable and reliable transmission of pattern data.In software, the author completes developing the main driving modules of the main functional modes and designing the MCP. The hardware and software designed and developed in this thesisare all tested in the laboratory and are generally able to meet the desired design requirements.The method of current control proposed by this thesis can be applied into the drive circuit ofthe electronic Jacquard machine’s needle selector. Accordingly, it can realize the quick andefficient pull-in of high current in the electromagnet and maintain low current and low-powerdissipation. As a result, it can ensure the quick and efficient pull-in of the electromagnet andsave energy as well. The thesis therefore provides a reference for the quick response and energysaving of domestic produced Jacquard machine.
