The current two sets of filling system of Anhui Mining Development Corp (No.2and No.3filling stations) complete underground filling operations by using thevertical sand bin to sand settling, mud making and sand putting. As the overflowconcentration in the process of settling sand in sand silo was too high, a lot ofbackfilling granule was taken away which caused many negative effects like the lowfilling efficiency and low utilization rate of backfilling. To solve the problem of slowsettling velocity and high overflow concentration, this paper used the theory offlocculant sedimentation and through a large number of laboratory tests andtheoretical calculation. Put forward the idea that adding flocculant solution in thevertical sand bin to speed up the settlement of backfilling and studied adding types offlocculating agent, flocculant concentration, flocculant adding amount, addingequipments, adding cost and filling strength changes after adding flocculants. Andfinally this resolved the problem of high sand overflow concentration in sand silo,improved the filling efficiency and saved the packing cost. Main contents of thispaper are as follows:(1) Do single factor experimental research of the sedimentation characteristicson specularite backfilling; observe the relationship between various factors whichmainly influence the subsidence effect (flocculant solution concentration, flocculantadding amount, backfilling pulp consistency, PH value and molecular weight) and thesettling velocity; and draw the following conclusions such as what has positive effecton subsidence effect, what has negative effect on subsidence effect, and how theinfluence degree of the subsidence effect is.(2) Combined with the actual production, carry out the uniform designexperiment by selecting several factors that have biggest effects on subsidence effect,by usying the professional uniform design software, and finally establish and analyzemathematical model, do calculation and analysis on mathematical model, and get a setof optimal combination to achieve the best settling velocity.(3) By applying the siphon method, do filling strength test after addingflocculating agent in lab. Get the backfilling filling early strength and the late strengthchange trend after adding flocculants through the experiment. (4) Analyzed and research on flocculant adding process, equipment, technicalparameters, etc. for the filling systems on sand tank. Combining the flocculant addingprocess and actual production situation, carries on the industrialtest in site, throughthe industrial test of flocculant add parameters optimization.Take into consideration parameters such as concentration of sand entering sandsilo and daily compaction rate in practical production process to analyz briefly thecorresponding investment and operating costs.
