Serious haze has settled over the central and eastern china in recent years. There hasbeen higher and higher requirement of sulfur content in the gasoline and diesel in ourcountry. Ionic liquids as desulfurization extractants have many advantages such as mildconditions, simple techniques, and high desulfurization efficiency. Extractivedesulfurization and oxidative desulfurization were studied.Two types of metal-based ionic liquids were synthesized: twenty metal-basedimidazole ionic liquids and ten metal-based hyamine ionic liquids. The structures werecharacterized by FT-IR, et al. The two types of ionic liquids were applied to extractivedesulfurization of fuel oil respectively, and different reaction factors on the extractionperformance of DBT were examined. The optimal conditions of extractive desulfurizationwere studied. Under the optimum technological conditions,the extractive desulfurizationability of the two types ionic liquids to different sulfer compounds and real diesel werealso investigated. The removal ratio of DBT is high by [C3MIM]HSO4/FeCl3.(CPL-TBAB)/0.8CuCl22H2O showed an excellent extraction ability for different sulfurcompounds model oil and real diesel.Two types of metal phthalocyanine catalysts were synthesized by microwave method:four kinds of mononuclear metal phthalocyanine and five kinds of binuclear metalphthalocyanine. The structures of the catalysts were characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis, et al.System of oxidative desulfurization coupling with ionic liquids based on metalphthalocyanines was desgined by the air as oxidant and ionic liguids as extractant. Theoptimal conditions of oxidative desulfurization were studied. Oxidation product detectedby FTIR and mass spectrum was single DBTO2. Under the optimum technologicalconditions,the extractive desulfurization ability of the two types of catalysts to realgasoline were also investigated. CoPc(Cl)16had a good catalytic effect on DBT under theoptimum condition. The results showed that the catalytic activity of cobaltphthalocyanines with different substituents increased in the order of CoPc(Cl)4<CoPc(Cl)8<CoPc(Cl)12<CoPc(Cl)16. Binuclear cobalt phthalocyanine exhibited perfectcatalytic activity to DBT with a low dosage.
