In recent years, persistent fog and haze weather bring great harm on people's health, the SOx of sulfur compounds in fuel oil combustion emissions is one of the main reason that cause environmental pollution. Meanwhile, the sulfur compounds in fuel have great damage to the catalysts for the after treatment of automobile exhaust. As a result, the production of ultra-clean transportation fuel is one of the major social problems needed to be resolved urgently. Ionic liquid extraction oxidative desulfurization is a technology of deep remove the sulfur in the fuel oil. But the cost of commonly used ionic liquids is high, and viscosity is high. Hence, looking for inexpensive ILs with low viscosities is still an interesting topic.In this paper, firstly based on the NMP together with sulfur-containing compounds have five membered ring structure and similar compatible principle. Inexpensive ionic liquids (ILs) are synthesized by coordinating N-methyl-pyrrolidone with anhydrous FeCl3 or ZnCl2. the structure of the material, physical properties was characterized by FT-IR and TG. The introduction of metal chlorides lowers the solubility of NMP for actual diesel. Examines the metal chloride with NMP of amount of substance ratio on the desulfurization performance. Secendly the oxidative desulfurization of DBT using H2O2 as oxidant and ILs as extractants are investigated. The scavenger experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurement verify the active species is hydroxyl radical (·OH) responsible for the oxidation of DBT. FeCl3-based ILs show much better effects in catalyzing H2O2 to generate·OH than ZnCl2-based ILs. The process and mechanism for extraction and catalytic oxidation of DBT in an oil-ionic liquid-H2O2 system are proposed.Prepared Al2O3 by coprecipitation method and then carry out ionic liquid load experiment,study materital of photocatalytic oxidation desulfurization performance. The experimental results show that after the load materials, the desulfurization rate of materials increased appear a certain degree of improvement.
