Refering to the general present situation of the paper pulp fiber measurement,this paper simply introduces fiber measuring project status quo at home and abroadand the technical development. The development of image processing technologypromotes the further development of fiber measuring project, and especially withwidely using of the DSP processor based on embedded technology, the speed andaccuracy of the fiber measurement technology arrive a new level. Relying on theapplication of the embedded technology, this paper proposes a pulp fibermeasurement method based on a new generation of embedded DSP+FPGAtechnology.After analyzing the working method and technical requirements of the project,this paper puts forward a set of technique scheme based on high precision imageprocessing technology. Involving no matter the sample making and selecting imageacquisition card, but also the choice of Camera Link interface array Camera and theimage processing, this paper uses the independent equipment to achieve similar levelwith foreign equipment.Most importantly,the independent equipment is well-madeand skillly refined.Nextly, this paper carefully introduces the hardware composition of theembedded DSP+FPGA structure. And DSP card uses TI DSP TMS320C6455as themain chip for high speed data and video signal detection, analysis and otherapplications;FPGA card processing chip for EP3C40F484C8, is compatible withEP3C16F484C8design, supporting the Camera Link data input and output.It ismainly used for processing high-definition image input signals, intelligentanalysis.The DSP and the FPGAare connected by linker based on MFC.The rest of this paper is introducing the embedded image processing system ofCCS3.3software test and image processing algorithm, each technology integrateddebugging and the fiber image acquisition.
