A camera is a kind of widely used in video conference, remote medical video input devices and real-time monitoring. The aesthetic design of cameras and visual effects directly affect people’s recognition of the product performance. It affects the reliability of the products and sales. Nice camera shell not only need bold artistic innovation design, still depends on the perfect injection molding process parameters design and mold design.Injection molding is one of the modern plastics industries and an important processing technology which is suitable for mass production of plastic products. Die as a kind of high efficient technology and equipment, has the advantages of saving on the low cost raw material product. In the mold industry, injection molding is one of the main processing methods. But most of the plastic mold design in our country still stays on the traditional mould design train of thought, rely mainly on mold design experience and technological personnel skills. The rationality of the design of the mould is only know after test, leading to longer production cycle, high cost.This paper comprehensively introduces the basic theory of plastic mold design, according to the flow of die structure using CATIA to mold and cavity for parametric design. Second, the fluid dynamics simulation software Fluent was applied to different parameters for fluid dynamics simulation model. Then, through the flow field, the velocity vector diagram and the flow chart parameters, such as pressure cloud observation, analysis of the inner structure of mould injection molding internal flow influence. Finally choose the best design parameters of mold design and experiment validation. Finally, according to the results of numerical simulation calculation of the single variable gradient method is used to optimize the flow channel design.
