A Study And Research On The Present Situation Of Folk Art

Folk art, as the presentation and carrier of Chinese folk culture, derives fromtraditional social life, embodying the concept, value and belief of various domestic life.As a form of art, folk culture has its particular spirituality in terms of ideology,involving a range of spiritual contents such as belief, entertainment, affection,cultivation etc., and unique regional aesthetics as well which accounts for itsendlessness. It is widely acknowledged that folk art contains people’s desire, respectand endless pursuit for life and some folk art survives and has been passed on. On theother hand, however, some of it is gradually fading and vanishing. This paper, based onthe research and analysis of present situation of folk art, proposes some concrete andpractical measures intended to preserving folk art, calling people in cultural industry toconfront the situation, learning lessons from past and conserve the root of culture.
