C8aromatics isomerization is an important industrial process in which nonequilibrium C8aromatics with poor PX were transferred into the stream with rich PX (nearly equilibrium). In this work C8aromatics isomerization was studied in a fixed bed. A method of on-line analysis was bulit up. The effect of temperature, hydrogen partial pressure pressure, weight hourly space velocity and hydrogen-oil ratio on the isomerization reaction were investigated by means of single-factor experimental method. Optimal reaction conditions were got by orthogonal experiment and the conditions were described as follows:temperature380℃, hydrogen partial pressure pressure0.75MPa, weight hourly space velocity4h-1and hydrogen-oil ratio4:1. A new seven-components kinetic model was set up. The parameters of the model was obtained from the experimental data and the model fits well. The model of radial reactor was set up and the distribution of concentration was obtained by solve the model. The industrial reactors can be designed by using this model. Deactivation kinetics parameters was got by linear regression using the data from plant. It can provide technological base for the simulation and operation of the reactor.
