Risk based inspection as an Inspection-strategy optimization methods built on the basis of the concept of pursuing the security and economy of system.The risk of piping is determined by the combination of two factors:the likelihood of failure and the consequence offailure. Based on failure mechanism and the risk levels, an inspection planning is provided, primarily by reducing the probability of failure, to reduce piping risk.Implementing RBI can achieve optimize the allocation of inspection resource and ensure the effective of the inspection.Reference standard API581, this paper combined with the specific situation of Shanghai petrochemical pressure pipeline, type, the main defect of pressure pipeline is studied by simplifying the form of chart convenient for the determination of the level of failure probability and failure consequence, improves the speed of the calculation of pressure pipeline risk.The main research results obtained in this article were as follows:1. Analysis of the Shanghai petrochemical mainly two kinds of defects of pressure pipeline form, corrosive thinning and weld defects, and the two main defects form has carried on the statistical analysis.2. Defect correction factor FB and the pipeline length factor FPL was proposed, for appropriate correction calculation of failure probability.3. Combined with specific conditions, respectively discusses the four types of damage factor, the external damage factor Dfextd, thinning damage factor Dfthin, brittle fracture Dfbrit, mechanical fatigue Dfmfat.Especially carried on the thorough research to external damage factor, finally formed the form to achieve the level directly determine the failure possibility.4. Simplifies the calculating process of different representative media failure consequences, they produced different representative medium risk consequence chart, which is convenient for determination of pressure pipeline failure consequences.5. Calculation method in this paper and the RBI software to calculate two kinds of methods to public division of pressure pipeline for the determination of the risk is verified by comparative analysis of the feasibility of the method in this paper.
