Natural gas pipeline as an important part of China's energy transport engineering,its safe operation has an important impact on the national economy.In recent years,many pipeline failures in densely populated areas have resulted in serious casualties and economic losses,resulting in bad social impact.HCA(high consequence area)is the section of the management key protection and supervision.HCA identification and risk assessment are also an important part of pipeline integrity management.The research work on pipeline HCA has always been the concern and discussion of the whole society.Through the research on the field data of a natural gas pipeline in China,this paper uses the principal component analysis method to analyze the statistical data,and extracts the attribute and the contribution rate of the attribute factors of the HCA.Through the theoretical model study on the accident consequences of the natural gas pipeline,it determines the personnel and the ring of the natural gas failure accident.On this basis,the damage radius of the jet fire disaster and the steam cloud explosion disaster in different pipe diameter,pressure,wind speed and so on is calculated,thus the accident protection standard of natural gas pipeline is determined.Based on the study of the HCA attribute and the influence radius of natural gas accident,the HCA mathematical recognition model and the classification method of severity grade are established,and the management countermeasures after the completion of the HCA recognition are put forward and compared with the existing identification criteria.At the same time,the reliability research of HCA is carried out.By determining the failure limit state of the pipeline,the HCA failure probability and parameter sensitivity of pipeline are calculated by introducing the subset simulation method creatively,and the reliability grade of the HCA pipe section is determined by the failure probability.At last,combined with the recognition results of HCA and the reliability grade based on failure probability,risk evaluation of HCA is carried out by risk matrix,the possible problems of HCA pipeline are discovered early,and the risk mitigation measures are put forward in advance.Therefore,the HCA identification method and reliability research proposed in this paper can be targeted for risk management of HCA segment.Through the research on the identification method and reliability of HCA on land pipeline,it provides a scientific identification and management method for the safe operation and risk management of the natural gas pipeline HCA,and improves the shortcomings of the current identification criteria,and provides an effective technical hand for the safety management of the HCA.
