With the advanced technology in the past decades, people have proposed muchmore requirements for the functional materials. The preparation of composites withlow dielectric constant, balanced with the acceptable heat-stability and mechanicalproperties has played a significant role in the modern functional materials. Thecommon way is to add the silicon dioxide particles mixed with polymer matrix andfluorine-containing group introduced into polymers. With more attention and researchbeing implemented towards well diversity of organic-inorganic hybridcage-silsesquioxane, with huge reserves in nature gain its popularity. Compared to theprevious fillers, cage-silsesquioxane materials own excellent low dielectric constantand heat stability as well as the mechanical properties originating from its specialnano size cage structure’s free volume. In order to exploit the advantages of thesematerials, usually introduced the cage-silsesquioxane into the polymer withfunctionalized marco-nomoner copolymerization. In the first part of this article, with the hydrolysis of phenyl trichlorosilane, double decker silsesquioxane silanol was synthesized, then capped with dimethylchlorosilane hydrolysis’s polycondensation. Later the prepared monomer withhydrogenated siloxane, a double hydroxyl functionality cage-silsesquioxanesynthesized, then copolymerizing with bisphenol A or hexafluoro bisphenol A, finallytwo kinds of copolymer hybrid polymers were obtained. The second part of the contents of the two prepared copolymers were measuredfor dielectric constant, with discussing cage silsesquioxane polymer chainentanglement, and a hollow volume, free energy and dielectric effects of constant, aswell as the impact of fluoro-silicone on the polymer’s dielectric effect.
