Silicon Carbide SiC (Silicon Carbide) ceramic material with high wear resistance,corrosion resistance, high brittleness and the characteristics of low fracture toughness, iscurrently widely used in machinery, electronics, chemical industry, aerospace and otherfields. With the development of space astronomy and laser engineering, silicon carbideceramic material with its superior performance, in recent years has become a space opticalsystem and high-energy laser reflector of the main production material in the system.However, silicon carbide ceramics, high hardness and brittleness is big, the use of traditionalultra-precision machining method, machining is difficult, production efficiency is low, moredifficult to meet the requirements of high precision optical material surface quality. So themachining accuracy requirement of silicon carbide ceramic materials and manufacturingcycle, production costs restrict its widely used as optical element material.CNC grinding machining technology using electrochemical friction effect is a kind offor ceramics and other hard processing material to achieve smooth surface without damageand processing technologies. Silicon carbide ceramic CNC grinding process, grinding systemUSES metal matrix tool and does not contain free abrasive and polishing liquid, viaelectrodes in metal tool and ceramic artifacts between controllable electric field, and controlthe voltage and the friction between the tool and metal specimen, using chemical dissolutionmechanism of the micro friction peak polished surface.This article in view of the silicon carbide this typical difficult-to-machine CNC grindingprocessing technology of ceramic material was studied, designed and developed new CNCround translational type grinding machine servo motion control system and data acquisitionprocess. Among them, the control system adopts the PC+motion control card openarchitecture, using VC++6.0development of the system program, using C++Builder6.0developed data acquisition program.In the translation circle grinding motion law and the wear state of the specimen and grinding disc, on the basis of theoretical analysis, the circle of silicon carbide ceramic planartranslational control electrochemical grinding experiments, based on the coefficient offriction in the process of grinding, the parameters of the positive pressure measurement andanalysis, electrochemical grinding of silicon carbide ceramic are optimized, the best processparameters.
