The output pressure is a main parameters to measure the ability of transmit boosterexplosion power. Its relationship with impedance matching has important implications in thebooster sequence design, the transmit booster explosive charge and the transmit boostermatch with booster explosive. the output pressure of transmit booster measured mainly bymeasuring the magnitude of the shock wave pressure which generated by the detonation ofexplosives. The explosive shock wave pressure accurately measured is very difficult, usually,it measured by indirect measurements way.This paper introduce some methods of shock wave output pressure experiment, such asthe speed of the free surface method, the tank-point electrical probe, piezoelectric testmethod, FBG measurement method, and comprehensive analysis the pros and cons of varioustest methods. At last we choose of the manganin resistance strain sensors. this material ofresistive strain sensor has a lot of advantages for example: the simple manufacturingtechnology, stable working performance, the temperature coefficient is small, affordable,manganese copper resistivity is not high, high sensitivity, the advantages of the linearrelationship between the change in resistance and shock waves pressure and so on. So it isvery suitable for measuring high pressure shock wave pressure,In the paper a new system was designed for booster explosion pressure test. And also weused this test system measured the explosion pressure of PBX-5booster shock wave whichthrough the four common used detonators impedance materials (steel, aluminum, glass andcopper) output pressure.At the same times the LS-DYNA software simulation was used tosimulate the output pressure of the explosion shock wave which past the different acousticimpedance material cause the impact of itself.According to analysis experimental andsimulation results,relationship between the acoustic impedance and blast output pressure was obtained. and also the experimental and simulation proves the resistance strain sensorstress test system is feasibility and reliability.
