Alignment technology is one of the important technical indicators of weighing the surfaceprinting quality. Domestic automatic version of surface printing machine mostly rely onimports. There are several domestic enterprises have the automatically version of the surfaceprinting machine, but they are relatively expensive. Most enterprises still rely on staffmacroscopic observation and work experience to meet the accuracy. This method istime-consuming, low working efficiency, low accuracy. It does not fundamentally solve thekey automatic alignment technology of surface printing machine in our country. But it issuccessful to solve these problems that the automatic alignment system is introduced. It notonly greatly shorten the alignment process, reduce scrap and cost, but also can do dynamicerror detection and control in the process of production. This technology greatly improve thequality of printing quality and enhance the printing speed and production efficiency. So in thispaper, the key technology research on the photoelectric automatic alignment system of thesurface printing machine has very important significance.At the standpoint of the structure of the surface printing machine,the possible reasons ofthe register error are analyzed, including the mechanical structure, drive mechanism andalignment structure, etc. The characteristics of the overprint system are analyzed. Themathematical model of automatic alignment system is established.On the basis of mathematical model, the paper has carried on the research of controlstrategy. Introducing classical control theory of PID controller, combining with the existingPID parameter setting method and overprint system itself characteristics select the experiencetrial and error method for PID parameters setting. Due to the deficiency of PID control and fuzzy PID control strategy is put forward. With the aid of MATLAB/Simulink toolbox, thesimulation and research of two kinds of controller has been completed. Finally the automaticalignment system is controlled by adopting the fuzzy PID control method.To improve the detection speed and precision of the overprint error,the register errordetection and analysis has been completed in the use of machine vision technology and thesoftware HALCON. This method of testing speed, high accuracy and good stability play animportant role to improve the surface of the printing press overprint precision.
