Synthesis Of Metalloporphyrin/Polyoxometalate Complex

Since the porphyrin and its metalcomplexes have a special structure and properties,theyplay an important role in analytical chemistry,functional materials, molecule identificationand photo-electron conversions fields. The Polyoxometalate is one kind of multi oxygen metalcomplex and its molecular space structure is built by oxygen atoms, which is used widely inpeteochemistry, fine chemistry, molecular design and friendly enviroment catalysis field.In this thesis, a new metalloporphyrin/polyoxometalates complex was synthesized.Firstly, tertraphenylporphyrin (TPP) was synthesized by traditional method; and5-(4-nitrophenyl)-10,15,20-phenylporphyrin(TPPN1) was synthesized by direct nitration ofthe p-positions of TPP, using TFA and sodium nitrite. Then the meso-5-(4-aminopheny)-10,15,20triphenyl-porphrin(TPP-NH2) was synthesized with TPPN1using HCl as solvent andSnCl2as reductive agent, separated and purified by column chromatography. Finally,5-(4-trimethylamidiophenyl)-10-15-20phenyl-porphyrin(TMAPPI) was synthesized byTPP-NH2and iodomethane at mild condition. A series of metalloporphyrin/polyoxometalateswere synthesized and their structures were studied by IR spectrometry, UV-Vis spectrometry,scan electronic microscopy and electrochemistry. The results showed that metalloporphyrinsbear appropriate positively charged subsitituents at his meso-positions and polyoxometalatespossess negative charge, so the two parts were connected by ionic bond. This special structurecould improve the ability of organic metalloporhyrins integrating with inorganicpolyoxometalates, but also could conquer previous organic/inorganic materials droppingdefect because of their ability intergrating weakly. Based on good catalytic performance withmetalloporphyrin and polyoxometalate, metalloporphyrin/polyoxometalates complex will beexpected to take full advantage in industrial catalysis.
